Note, if riders are unable to complete any paid exhibition runs before the start of the play day, you will have the opportunity to run after the play day has concluded for the evening

RAIN OUT make-ups will take place the 3rd Saturday of the month in which the rain out occurred. If that Saturday is also rained out, that month playday is permanently canceled. July is the exception due to the Blue Ridge Rodeo and the makeup would then be scheduled on the 4th Saturday of that month.

Note, we will do our best to call Rainouts no later than Noon!

BANQUET…

Annual Awards Banquet will be held January 21, at the Blue Ridge Community Center.  The annual business meeting will follow a covered dish supper and play day year-end awards will be celebrated.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

BRRC will provide the meat, paper goods, and drinks; members are asked to bring vegetables/side dishes and desserts.  Members with the last name A-L, bring vegetables or side dish; Last name M-Z bring desserts.

For those of you who attended the October playday last night. The Directors called the playday due to rain during the 11-14 age group running barrels. It was determined that with the intermittent rain and the potential of lightning; it was a threat to not only the fans, the announcer, but your horses!

Bad news- we didn’t finish barrels last night
More Good news! It was determined that we will remove barrels from all age groups so that we do not require a full re-ride for the 11 and up age groups. SO NO PLAYDAY NEXT SATURDAY!

What a great weekend for a playday!

We do understand that our beloved 4 legged friends have a mind of their own at times.  It is in everyone’s best interest to do your best to have complete control of your horse before exiting the arena!  There is no reason to run out at full speed as we have the timers set up to allow you time to slow down.  Thank you for your understanding!
